Army & Navy Club
36-39 PALL MALL, LONDON, SW1Y 5JNIMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
Coffee Room, St James’s Room & IJB
New Arrangements
(Effective 1st September 2010)
The House Committee has approved a continuing programme of improvements to the Club’s restaurants and bars, described in more detail in this leaflet. In sum, the Coffee Room and St James’s Room will have completely revised and refreshed menus for both lunch and dinner. The aim is to make better use of the Coffee Room, whilst still offering the option of a lighter (and cheaper lunch), but also providing a sandwich/finger food alternative in the St James’s Room (and IJB) at lunchtime. These operations will all come under the Club’s new
Restaurant Manager,
Miss Johanna Noy.
Coffee Room. In addition to retaining some of the Club favourites and Char Grill, new, brasserie-style dishes have been introduced, including a number of the lighter dishes from the St James’s Room menu. These will be available for both lunch and dinner, and members may chose from a simple, ‘soup & roll’ only snack up to a full, four course meal. Prices have been kept as low as possible, and represent the same outstanding value as the St James’s Room lunch facility. Most wines are now available by the glass, and booking is advised. However, the Club Table cannot be booked, and is always available.
St James’s Room. This will become a lunchtime deli/sandwich bar, with a full range of hot and cold sandwiches, ploughman’s and paninis to order, as well as soup, cold desserts and fruit; available from 12.00 to 14.15.
Ian Jacob Bar. There will be a full range of hot and cold sandwiches, ploughman’s and paninis to order, as well as soup, cold desserts and fruit; available from 12.00 to 14.15. A more limited sandwich menu, including some additional hot dishes, will also be available from 17.30 to 20.00.
IJB/Business Facility.
Available 07.00 – 17.30 (without break). WiFi available; laptop, smartphone and mobile use permitted; small, ad hoc business meetings and papers permitted).
With Complimentary Coffee & Tea through out the day.
