Full Military Membership is available to:
All those who hold or have held any type of commission in the British Armed Forces or the Armed Forces of a Commonwealth country or dependent territory.

Officers of any Country, not covered by the above, may apply for membership of the Club subject to the conditions listed in item 1 below.

Fundamental Qualifications:

All prospective candidates for Membership of the Club must be over the age of eighteen at the time of application.

Any applicant for Membership who has been:

Dismissed the Service following a Court Martial.
Adjudged bankrupt, including entering into an Individual Voluntary Arrangement with his or her creditors.
Convicted of a criminal offence (excluding minor motoring offences).

must, for other than ‘spent’ convictions, at the time an application is submitted advise the Membership Committee which may, at its discretion and exceptionally, accept the application.

Membership subscriptions

All applicants over the age of 29 will pay a non refundable joining fee of £250.00.

Family Package (husband/wife or civil partners and their children 18-21)	£667.00

The spouse of a serving officer member, under the age of 40 who enjoys a discounted subscription, may apply to become an Associate Member. Their subscription will be calculated as half that that their spouse pays.

Young Officers, under the age of 40, upon receiving their commission, or within their 1st year of commissioned service, may apply for up to a year's membership free of any membership subscription or joining fee. If you would like to take advantage of this offer please complete the application form, taking particular care in providing the date of your commission.

IF YOU ARE OVER 40 BUT WOULD ALSO LIKE YOUR FAMILY TO ENJOY THE BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP AS WELL The Family package is offered so that all members of the package may make use of the facilities of the Army & Navy Club and applies to a husband and wife or civil partners and any of their children between the ages of 18-21. In such cases, please ensure that the supplementary pages providing details of the spouse/civil partner and qualifying children are completed.

An existing member who enjoys sole membership may transfer to the Family package subject to the supplementary forms being completed should other qualifying family members wish to make independent use of the Club.

All those accepted into the Family Package are subject to the Rules of the Club

The application process and Payment of Subscription

Serving officers may be 'signed in' by their Commanding Officer or a senior officer above the rank of Major, or its equivalent. The Commanding Officer, or senior officer, need not be a member of the Army & Navy Club. In such cases no Seconder is required.

Retired officers are required to obtain the support of two, appropriately qualified, current members of the Club to act as Proposer and Seconder to their application.

1. Commissioned officers from non UK, Commonwealth or Dependent Territiories Armed Forces may apply for membership of the Club, provided they secure the support of two, appropriately qualified, current members of the Club to act as Proposer and Seconder to their application. Please note that in such cases, the Committee may offer Associate membership to the candidate.

Please ensure that a photocopy of documentation corroborating your service is appended to the application.
